Below is our Certificate Of Need (C.O.N.) request to the New York State Department of Health, requesting the addition of 12 Ventilator beds and the removal of 12 sub-acute beds. In addition to the C.O.N., we must perform a Health Equity Impact Assessment (HEIA) to ensure this C.O.N. helps everyone in the capital district. The goal of this C.O.N is to better serve the communities we are in by helping to take in more ventilator-dependent residents. The region is currently underserved and is in desperate need of more Ventilator beds. The addition and removal will not affect any residents currently in the building and will help us serve the Capital region even better!
